Carin Goldberg:
Carin is a famous graphic designer based in New York and she is also my beloved senior graphic design professor. Carin began her career as a staff designer at CBS Television, CBS Records and Atlantic Records before establishing her own firm in 1982. Since then, she has designed hundreds of book jackets for all of the major American publishing houses and, in recent years, she has expanded her image-making to publication design, brand consulting and editorial illustration. She is skilled in diversified technologies, such as Adobe Creative Cloud sets. She enjoys combining traditional art-making process like paper cuttings or silk-screen printing with the advanced digital applications to create the feeling of vintage, elegant and classic, which can best express her aesthetic toward design. She believes that every elements on the paper or screen should have a meaning, even a small negative space. Design should solve the problem and present some new possibilities.
