The importance of a user-friendly website in museum digital innovation

According to the data, website plays the important role in the digital aspect of museum innovation both in broaden audience’s reach and providing information or contents for the user. So it is critical to design a user-friendly website for a better management of a culture institute. We learned the revolutions of website and its interface of many institutes and what is the design trend nowadays. A good website not only provide users more accessible information within a few clicks or strengthen the brand identity of one company and also provides the manager with useful data for further development of the institute. Through the data analyze tools, such as Google analyze and FullStory, the managers are able to understand the user flow and extract the useful information, it also helps identify the problems in advance.


It is important for a company to have the storytelling skills. The five factors that determine a good storytelling are: 1) strategy; 2) capacity; 3) content; 4) platform; 5) evaluation.

The importance of storytelling is that:

1. Create human connection and emotional resonance;

2. Encourage understanding and value connections;

3. Contribute to an ongoing conversation and engage people as active participants;

4. Share learning and lessons from success and failure stories.

5. Expands the reach and resources of one culture institute.


Everyone in the company, especially the managers need to know the importance of storytelling. It helps the building of interpersonal relationship of members within a group, which help them strive for the same goal and make meaningful actions. The most meaningful stories come from people with authentic and insightful experiences to share. And then articulate these stories by the professional storyteller.


The essential difference between human and other creatures is that human society, which contains a large numbers of people, can cooperate and work together by believing the same story­ – one consensus mechanism. As an art manager, we should always use storytelling as a tool, to create a better and healthier environment for our group member at the post-internet age.
